Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A few months back we let you guys know that Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams are teaming up to bring us an all-new horror-drama series called LOVECRAFT COUNTRY. The show will air on HBO and today we have word on just who has been cast in the straight-to-series drama.

Deadline reports that Wunmi Mosaku will lead the new series alongside Jonathan Majors and Jurnee Smollett-Bell (see above). Mosaku will play "Rudy Dandridge, a hustler just like her half-sister Leticia, only her hustles haven’t paid off. Her family ties are tested when she’s presented with an offer she can’t refuse."

Synopsis:

Atticus Black (Majors) joins up with his friend Letitia (Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. Thus begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

The first episode is directed by Yann Demange from a script written by Misha Green, who also executive produces with Peele, Abrams, Bad Robot's Ben Stephenson, and Demange. The show is based on Matt Ruff's 2016 novel. Pick up a copy of the book HERE.
