Jordan Peele’s next horror film taps Keke Palmer to star

Jordan Peele, Keke Palmer

Jordan Peele's rise over the past few years still astounds me; I mean, it's not like he was exactly an unknown before, but the way he reached new levels with Get Out and Us, not to mention all the other projects he's attached himself to, has been mighty impressive. Peele has proven himself to be someone to watch, and anticipation is high for his next horror/thriller, which we really know next to nothing about.

Deadline has now reported that Jordan Peele's next film will star Keke Palmer, best known for Akeelah and the Bee, Winx Club, Scream Queens, Berlin Station, Scream, and Hustlers. Palmer has also worked with Peele before as she appeared as Malia Obama's anger translator in an episode of Key & Peele. As for this new project, very little is known, only that Peele will be writing and directing and Universal Pictures will release the film on July 22, 2022. THR has also added that Daniel Kaluuya, who starred in Peele's Get Out, is also in negotiations to star in the film alongside Palmer.

As far as Jordan Peele's other projects go, he's lent his producing talents to Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman, co-created The Last O.G., developed the revival of The Twilight Zone for CBS All Access (now rebranded as Paramount+) in addition to serving as host and narrator, serves as executive producer on Amazon's Hunters and HBO's Lovecraft Country, not to mention he also co-wrote and produced Nia DaCosta's Candyman, which has been delayed several times due to COVID-19 and is now slated to hit theaters on August 27, 2021. Peele is also slated to produce a remake of Wes Craven's The People Under the Stairs for Universal. That is one busy dude.
