Jonah Hill to make his directorial debut with coming-of-age flick Mid-90s

Jonah Hill has come a long way since his I HEART HUCKABEES days, and now the Oscar-nominated actor has decided to take a stab at directing a feature film. It's being reported that Hill will make his directorial debut with a coming-of-age tale titled MID-90S.

Not much is known in regards to the plot of the dramedy, but apparently it will follow "a young boy coming up in Los Angeles in the mid-1990s learning life lessons with his skateboarding crew of friends." Scott Rudin and Eli Bush will produce the movie with A24, and while Hill isn't expected to appear in it, he did pen the script.

Although Hill hasn't directed before, this isn't the first time he's written a script. He contributed to both of the Jump Street films, and helped write a couple of episodes of his animated series Allen Gregory.

Hill was most recently seen in the Coen brothers' HAIL, CAESAR!, and his upcoming movies include the R-rated animated comedy SAUSAGE PARTY and Todd Phillips' WAR DOGS.
