Coming hot on the heels of the news that Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) is in talks to play Commissioner Gordon in Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN comes a scoop from Variety which reports that Jonah Hill is in talks to join the cast for a role which is currently being kept under wraps.
According to Variety's sources, producers have wanted Jonah Hill for THE BATMAN for quite some time, but they had elected to put any casting decisions on hold until the role of Batman was filled. With Robert Pattinson set to play Batman/Bruce Wayne, the rest of the cast can finally be fleshed out. Jonah Hill's deal hasn't yet closed and there's a possibility that it could still fall apart, but both sides seem pumped at the thought of the actor joining the cast. In regards to who Hill would play in THE BATMAN, that's unknown at this time and may not have even been decided at this point, but Collider's Jeff Sneider seems to think that he'll be playing The Riddler. Thoughts? There's no official start date for production at the moment, but it will likely kick off in late 2019 or early 2020.
Jonah Hill was seen earlier this year in THE BEACH BUM opposite Matthew McConaughey, but he also tried his hand behind the camera as well by writing, directing, and producing MID90S.
