The latest star-studded adaptation of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express" is now about a month away, and even with plenty of blockbusters such as THOR: RAGNAROK, JUSTICE LEAGUE, and STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI to distract us with their flashy visuals and big-budgets, I'm beginning to feel just as excited about MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS as I am about any of them. Sometimes all you need is an old-school murder mystery stuffed with big names.
The latest clip for the upcoming Kenneth Branagh film finds Edward Ratchett (Johnny Depp) having a rather creepy moment with Caroline Hubbard (Michelle Pfeiffer), a "loudmouth and a busybody" who more than holds her own against the "paranoid, haunted, lethal, and very dangerous" man. It's been so long since I last read "Murder on the Orient Express" that I've actually forgotten how it all plays out, but I'm more than content to let Kenneth Branagh's film jog my memory next month.
The official synopsis for MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS:
What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told. From the novel by best selling author Agatha Christie, “Murder on the Orient Express” tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone’s a suspect. One man must race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.
MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS hits theaters on November 10, 2017.
