For those waiting for the final confirmation on whether or not John Williams got his old job back for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, you shall wait no longer!
It was announced at the STAR WARS Celebration Europe that Williams would indeed be back to score the next installment of the saga.

It was once thought that director J.J. Abrams would have his own longtime scoring partner Michael Giacchino take on the job but those thoughts quickly vanished. It’s hard to think of anyone else taking the spot that Williams has held for so long. The composers scores are iconic, and the ones that we get stuck in our heads from childhood onto adulthood. Glad to hear that he’s back on board!
