John Wick rides to victory in first official image from John Wick 3

The upcoming entry in the JOHN WICK franchise – JOHN WICK 3: PARABELLUM – may as well be called JOHN WICK: HORSE WHISPERER, because he looks damn near symbiotic with that horse as he rides to glory on crowded streets. The first official image from the movie comes via Empire and shows even more of the horse action we’ve seen on social media, but this time around it just looks so…official.

The final chapter in the JOHN WICK series will find Wick (Keanu Reeves) in the same unfortunate position we saw him in at the end of JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO, as he started running from his life right when a $14 million bounty was placed on his head. Obviously, he has to escape the clutches of some dangerous folks at some point, and the only way to do so was on this great stallion.

What’s even better than the image is the description of the movie offered to Empire from director Chad Stahelski, who described the movie in a way that, if you weren’t already excited for it, will soon make this your most anticipated movie of 2019.

According to director Chad Stahelski, this time the maelstrom around Wick will include “horses, dogs, cats, a raven, a bunch of pigeons, a motorcycle chase, car chase, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, shotguns and ninjas”. And if that doesn’t sound like the greatest thing in the world to you, there’s nothing more that can be done.

So, we have the image of him on the horse, and a description of the movie that paints Wick as the most badass Dr. Dolittle ever to be put to screen, using horses, dogs and “a raven” to his advantage. As I said, there are movies like AVENGERS 4 and STAR WARS: EPISODE IX coming out next year, but JOHN WICK: PARABELLUM needs to be at the top of your must-see list.
