John Wick: Chapter 4 first reactions praise the sequel as the best in the series

In a little less than three weeks, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) will be back in theaters doing what he does best, which mostly revolves around killing dozens of baddies at once with anything and everything he can get his hands on. As you might imagine, the first reactions to John Wick: Chapter 4 are full of praise for the sequel’s incredible action and magnificent set pieces, with some even calling it the best of the franchise. The nearly three-hour runtime also didn’t deter fans, as it seems that every minute is packed with something phenomenal.

By the sounds of those first reactions, if you liked the first three films, chances are quite good that you’ll have a ball with John Wick: Chapter 4. The sequel will find Wick uncovering a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.

In addition to John Wick: Chapter 4, we’ve got several John Wick-related projects in the works. The first John Wick spinoff will be Ballerina, which will star Ana de Armas as a young woman with killer skills who sets out to get revenge when hitmen kill her family. Reeves is set to appear in the spinoff among other John Wick supporting characters. There’s also The Continental, a three-night special-event TV series that will explore “the origin behind the hotel-for-assassins, a centerpiece of the John Wick universe, through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell) who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.John Wick: Chapter 4 will debut in theaters on March 24th.
