John Wick: Chapter 4: New art for the anticipated sequel bathes the boogeyman in a blood-red light

Ahead of the March release of Lionsgate‘s John Wick: Chapter 4, Total Film is sharing new artwork for the highly-anticipated sequel. The art arrives via covers for the outlet’s next magazine and features new characters from the fourth installment in the franchise led by Keanu Reeves. For the first cover (shown below), Ian McShane, Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, and Laurence Fishburne surround Reeves’ boogeyman. The characters drip with swag in front of the Eiffel Tower, a look of dead seriousness on their scowly faces. The second cover shows Reeves looking down on Yen and Skarsgård, a crimson cloak colors the background in blood red.

Production for John Wick: Chapter 4 wrapped up this October with Keanu Reeves again playing the legendary assassin. Joining Reeves are Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, Clancy Brown, and Rina Sawayama. The film will also see the return of a few franchise veterans, including Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, Ian McShane as Winston, manager of the Continental Hotel, and Lance Reddick as Charon, the concierge of the Continental.

Speaking of The Continental, we’ll explore that world further with a three-part special-event TV series that will take place decades before the film series. Colin Woodell stars as a young Winston in The Continental, the character played by Ian McShane in the movies. The series will explore “the origin behind the hotel-for-assassins, a centerpiece of the John Wick universe, through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott (Woodell) who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.”

Is it March yet? I need John Wick: Chapter 4 in my eyeballs now, dammit! Thankfully, plenty of John Wick-related content is coming to cinemas and television screens. In addition to John Wick: Chapter 4 and The Continental, a spinoff starring Ana de Armas is dancing our way soon. Ballerina stars Ana de Armas as a young woman with killer skills who tries to get revenge when assassins kill her family. Plenty of familiar faces from the John Wick Universe will be appearing in the spinoff, including Ian McShane as Winston, the owner of the Continental Hotel, Lance Reddick as Charon, the Continental’s concierge, Anjelica Huston as the Director, the head of the Ruska Roma, and Keanu Reeves as John Wick himself.
