Deadline has reported that Scott Adkins is in negotiations to join the cast of John Wick: Chapter 4, and if you know Adkins' work, you'll know why that's very exciting. The actor/martial artist is best know for his hard-hitting action roles in films such as Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, Ninja, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, The Expendables 2, The Bourne Ultimatum, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, American Assassin, Ip Man 4: The Finale, Doctor Strange, and much more. There's no word on who Adkins will be playing in John Wick: Chapter 4, but it would be an absolute treat to see him go head-to-head with Keanu Reeves. Make it happen!
Production on John Wick: Chapter 4 recently kicked off, and should Scott Adkins officially sign on, he will join a cast that includes Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's Donnie Yen, Stowaway's Shamier Anderson, Japanese-British pop superstar Rina Sawayama, It's Bill SkarsgÄrd, and Mortal Kombat's Hiroyuki Sanada.
The John Wick sequel will also include a few familiar faces, including Laurence Fishburne, who will be reprising his role of The Bowery King. The actor will soon be heading to Berlin to film his scenes, and teased earlier this month that the script is "really, really cool" as it goes much deeper than the prior films. "It's much deeper in terms of the code of the assassin and the relationship that he has with one character in particular," Fishburne said. John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently slated to hit theaters on May 27, 2022.
