Good day gorehounds! We're proud to announce yet another new monthly horror series debuting on our JOBLO HORROR VIDEOS YouTube channel today and this one is for the hardcore to the core horror fans that like to go beyond in depth about their favorite horror movies. The series is called DECONSTRUCTING… and here's what we're going for with it…

DECONSTRUCTING is a monthly web series in which we choose one of your favorite horror movies and take it apart piece by piece (lovingly, of course) to see what makes it a classic. Each episode will examine the origins, legacy and mysteries behind our beloved genre's most iconic titles… but we play fast and loose with the rules, so expect the unexpected!

Yeah we're going all out on this one! And what better way to launch a series than with the 1982 cult classic THE THING!

John Carpenter's sci-fi/horror classic is now considered one of the greatest horror films of all time. But when it hit screens in 1982, it shocked audiences who were unprepared for its graphic monster effects and triggered scathing reviews. In our premiere episode of DECONSTRUCTING, we visit the film's literary origins, track its transformation from box-office failure to cult classic, and examine some of the film's many unanswered questions.

DECONSTRUCTING is Written, Edited and Narrated by: Gregory Burkart. Produced by John Fallon and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian. We hope you enjoy it! Lots of elbow grease went into it!
