Two years ago, John Carpenter announced that he was teaming with Syfy for a television series inspired by his comic book series Tales for a Halloween Night, which featured "twisted tales masterfully crafted for your terror". Earlier this year, Carpenter's wife Sandy King, president of Storm King Productions, revealed that things had fallen apart at Syfy and the TV series was dead…
But like a good horror monster, Tales for a Halloween Night has now risen from the grave.
Speaking with ComicBook.com, Carpenter revealed
it's alive at Paramount now."
When the Syfy iteration was in development, it was said that Carpenter would be directing at least the pilot episode of the show. When asked if he would be writing or directing any episodes for the version in the works at Paramount, Carpenter said,
We'll see. We're just getting cranked up."
Hopefully Tales for a Halloween Night will finally be reaching the air this time around, ideally with at least one episode directed by Carpenter.
We'll keep you updated as the project continues getting cranked up.
