I'm just going to put this right out there and say that for some reason I've never seen John Carpenter's STARMAN starring Jeff Bridges. As you might imagine, the film has been on my must-see list for decades now, but it keeps on getting bumped down by some other flick along the way.
But now might be the best time to check out the PG sci-fi romance as we have word that Scream Factory has just revealed the special features for their upcoming Collector’s Edition Blu-ray. The new edition is headed our way this December and you can find all the new special features, along with the newly commissioned cover art below. After that let us know how much you love this flick in the comments section below!

Karen Allen, Charles Martin Smith, and Richard Jaeckel co-stars along with the above-mentioned Bridges in the film which follows this synopsis:
When his spacecraft is shot down over Wisconsin, an alien (Jeff Bridges) arrives at the remote cabin of a distraught young widow, Jenny Hayden (Karen Allen), and clones itself into the form of her recently deceased husband. The alien coerces the shell-shocked Jenny to drive him to a pickup point hundreds of miles away, explaining that if he doesn’t meet his mothership in three days, he’ll die. Hot on their trail are government agents, intent on seizing him, dead or alive. En route, Jenny turns from captive to captivated as the alien re-awakens her humanity.
Bridges was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role. Carpenter directs this romance movie from a screenplay written by Bruce A. Evans and Raynold Gideon (STAND BY ME). The film inspired a short-lived television series of the same name in 1986. Scream Factory's STARMAN Collector’s Edition Blu-ray hits a shelf near you on December 18.
