"There are moments when all of humanity goes to the same three words. Doesn't matter how smart you are. The depth of your lexicon becomes irrelevant in certain situations. What the f*ck?"
John Carpenter may have hung up his director's hat following THE WARD, but that doesn't mean the man isn't out there creating cool horror shite for us. As we all know he has put out two records since his "retirement" LOST THEMES and LOST THEMES II, but turns out he will be returning this summer with a new comic book series.
The comic is called John Carpenter's TALES OF SCIENCE FICTION and it will be a monthly anthology series that will "show us the darkness and wonder of everything the genre has to offer."
The comic is coming to us from Carpenter and his wife/collaborator Sandy King via Storm King Comics, the company that brought us the other Carpenter comics John Carpenter's ASYLUM, and John Carpenter's TALES FOR A HALLOWEEN NIGHT.
The first story-arch is called "VAULT" and was written by James Ninness with art by Andres Esparza. and will run for three issues. The first issue will be available in stores July 26th, 2017.
Check out the trailer OVER HERE and we'll let you know as soon as we hear more on John Carpenter's TALES OF SCIENCE FICTION.
