John Carpenter! Halloween, The Thing, Christine (Horror Hall of Fame)

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It's time to induct a new genre icon into our Horror Hall of Fame, and this project just wouldn't be complete if we didn't include the man we're honoring in the new episode of our video series. The latest addition to our Horror Hall of Fame is the legendary John Carpenter!

It's been a while since we got a new Carpenter film, but he has earned some rest and relaxation. Over the decades, he gave us multiple all-time classics, including Halloween, The Fog, The Thing, Christine, Prince of Darkness, They Live, and In the Mouth of Madness. And don't overlook his awesome non-horror work, like Assault on Precinct 13, Escape from New York (and L.A.), Big Trouble in Little China, and Starman. A collection of 4 John Carpenter films can be purchased at THIS LINK.

Check out the video embedded above and celebrate Carpenter's career with us!

Here's what the Horror Hall of Fame series is all about:

What does it take to become a Horror icon? Whether it be the Filmmakers orchestrating the frights, the Artists crafting the gore, or the Actors engineering the scares, this series takes an in-depth look at the men and women who paved the way for an entire generation of horror fans, and made the genre what it is today.

This episode was Written by Benjamin Skinner and Edited/Narrated by Lance Vlcek. It was Produced by John Fallon and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
