Killing Eve follows Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), a desk-bound MI5 officer who begins tracking down an extremely talented yet psychopathic assassin by the name of Villanelle (Jodie Comer), but even as Polastri's pursuit begins costing lives, the two women find themselves becoming obsessed with one another. The third season of the critically acclaimed series is on the way as it was revealed today that the new season will debut on BBC America and AMX on April 26th. Entertainment Weekly also dropped a handful of photos from the new season, which you can check out below
Killing Eve's third season picks up six months after the events of the second season finale, with both woman attempting to re-calibrate their lives. Eve has left MI6, seemingly taking a job at a butcher's shop, while Villanelle is trying to take charge of her own life. "A big theme for Villanelle is her trying to gauge some sense of control," Comer said. "She is a very free spirit, and she always seems to be under the thumb of this higher entity, whoever that may be. She's really trying to shake that off… She is trying to find her own way and be in charge and make her own rules — and she finds herself having to prove that she's ready and she's capable." Executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle added, "It’s the most personal season — and the most emotionally rocky season."
Killing Eve has already been renewed for a fourth season, but you'll be able to catch the third when it debuts on April 26, 2020.
