SICK FOR TOYS, the Christmas horror movie produced by our own James “JimmyO” Oster, will be available on VOD as of September 4th, but before we get there another horror film produced by JimmyO, the Halloween-set THE HARVESTERS, will be making its online premiere at VIDI Space this Saturday, August 18th!

Written and directed by Nick Sanford, THE HARVESTERS stars Alissa Rose Ford, Laurie Cummings, Adam Hampton, Emmy-winner Jason Gwynn, Andrew McDonald Lucas Ross, Sidney Flack, Arden Moad, and Page Tudyk.

The synopsis:

On Halloween in Baileyville, Oklahoma, a journalist who prides herself on objective reporting discovers that she is trapped in the middle of a series of horrifying murders and disappearances. When the terror intensifies and a countdown begins, the people closest to Jane are put in danger and her journalistic stance on “not becoming the story” is put to the ultimate test.

Laurie Cummings, Paul Lister, and Andrew McDonald produced the film alongside JimmyO.

THE HARVESTERS will play twice at www.VIDI.live, the first time at 8pm ET Saturday night, with an encore following at midnight. These airings will have a special introduction by Sanford.

Anyone who doesn’t already have a VIDI subscription will be able to get a three day pass for $5, allowing access to THE HARVESTERS and all other content on VIDI Space. The film will also be available to anyone who has Amazon Fire TV if they download the VIDI Space application, with options to rent or buy.

Sanford had this to say about his film’s VIDI premiere:

It’s very exciting to be able to show the world The Harvesters through a platform like VIDI Space. With all of the paranormal research documentaries, it’s fun to mix in a little independent fiction with that. The film started off as a very personal story for me about my experience growing up in Oklahoma, and now anyone in the world will be able to see it.”

THE HARVESTERS is well worth checking out, so if you’re interested in seeing it head over to VIDI this weekend!
