Earlier this year, we heard that Tobin Bell would be starring in a short film based on the Stephen King story MY PRETTY PONY for director Luke Jaden. It has now been revealed that 21-year-old Jaden went on from that project to directing his feature debut, BOO!
No, it doesn't have anything to do with those Madea movies.
Written by Jaden and Diane Michelle, BOO! follows
a family that battles an unseen force as they soon realize they must band together in order to stop the unimaginable terror.
It was quite impressive that Jaden was able to work with Bell and executive producer Josh Boone on MY PRETTY PONY, and he got to work with some impressive talent on his first feature as well. The cast of BOO! includes MOONLIGHT's Jaden Piner, Ash vs. Evil Dead's Jill Marie Jones (pictured above), Aurora Perrineau, Charley Palmer Rothwell, Dwight Henry, and Rob Zabrecky.
BOO! was produced by Phil Wurtzel of Midland Entertainment and Automatik Entertainment's Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Bradley Pilz and Fred Berger serve as executive producers, with Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski co-executive producing.
Financed by Bradley Pilz Productions and Midland Entertainment, BOO! recently wrapped production in Detroit. We'll keep you updated on the film as it progresses through post-production and toward distribution.
