Jessica Williams and many more have joined the Fantastic Beasts sequel cast

Welcome to Potterpalooza, everybody! On Thursday, J.K. Rowling's Pottermore.com announced a series of new characters and cast members for the forthcoming sequel to FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM! Included in the lineup are even a few characters that you might recall from being mentioned in Harry Potter novel, Rowling's best-selling literary phenom that introduced the world to The Boy Who Lived.

First up is the character Nicholas Flamel, an alchemist of the Potterverse who discovered the Elixir of Life (based on the real-life alchemist of the same name), will be played by actor Brontis Jodorowsky (SANTA SANGRE, EL TOPO). Also set to join the cast is Wolf Roth as a character called Spielman; CALL THE MIDWIFE star Victoria Yeates as Bunty; Derek Riddell as Torquil Travers; Poppy Corby-Tuech as Rosier; and Cornell S John as Arnold Guzman. If the names ‘Travers’ and ‘Rosier’ stand out in particular; that's because these last names are mentioned in the Harry Potter series and belong to two Death Eaters who committed wicked acts of wizardry for Lord Voldemort. Callum Turner will also join the film as Newt's brother, Theseus, while Zoe Kravitz is set to return as Leta Lestrange.

Last, but certainly not least, we have The Daily Show's Jessica Williams and Fiona Glascott entering the fantasy fray! Their roles have yet to be revealed, though I would bet my entire Harry Potter Funko Pop! collection that they're going to be someone cool.

All of these new addtions to the cast will join the sequel's returning players: Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski. Carmen Ejogo, who portrayed President of MACUSA Seraphina Picquery in the first film. Oh, and did I forget to mention that Jude Law has also signed on to wear the gray robes and pointy hat of a young Albus Dumbledore?

The roster is filling up, Potterheads, and I can't wait to see what all of these new actors and characters bring to the next installment of FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM when the film opens on November 16, 2018.
