Marvel's partnership with Netflix has been very successful for both parties and work on their last solo-series before The Defenders bring all the heroes together has been moving forward. Marvel's Iron Fist will star Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, a man who uses his incredible kung-fu mastery and the ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist to fight against the criminal element corrupting New York City. The upcoming series has been gathering up cast members and Variety has reported that Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey are the latest to join up with Marvel's Iron Fist.
Jessica Stroup (90210) will be playing the series regular role of Joy Meachum, while Tom Pelphrey (Banshee) will play Ward Meachum, her brother. The children of Harold Meachum, who will be played by David Wenham, have spent all their lives building up Rand Enterprises only to find that their hard work is put in jeopardy once Danny Rand returns home to New York City after being missing for years. Also starring in Marvel's Iron Fist is Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones), who will be playing Colleen Wing, a martial arts expert who runs her own dojo and will serve as an invaluable ally to Danny Rand as he returns to his life in New York.
Each of the Marvel/Netflix series has brought something special to the Marvel universe, and although we still don't know when Iron Fist will premiere, Luke Cage, the next Marvel/Netflix series, will debut on September 30, 2016.
