Jessica Jones is back for one last case in trailer for final season

While all the other heroes Marvel and Netflix have teamed to bring to the screen have had the book closed on their stories, there’s one chapter left to go in the tale of Jessica Jones.  Netflix has dropped the first trailer for the final season of the series, which finds Krysten Ritter’s Jones going up against a new, highly-intelligent threat in Gregory Salinger (Jeremy Bobb), and having to mend her broken relationship with Trish Walker (Rachel Taylor) in order to take him down.

This final season of JESSICA JONES marks not only the end of the character’s time on Netflix but that of every other character who had their own show on the streaming service. Shows for characters like Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Punisher all got the ax between the final half of 2018 and going into 2019, all on the heels of Disney moving forward with their own streaming service. Whether or not these characters have a home on services like Disney+ or Hulu remains to be seen, but at least the character Jessica Jones will hopefully go out with a bang as the showrunners try to give her some sort of emotional conclusion.

For this conclusion we see Walker embracing her Hellcat powers/persona, which was the cause of her rift with Jones at the end of season two. That dynamic will likely be the biggest of the key plot points of the season going forward, as Jones learns to mend broken relationships of all sorts before the end. The new season also stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Benjamin Walker, Sarita Choudhury, Tiffany Mack, Jessica Frances Dukes, Aneesh Sheth and  Rebecca DeMornay.

Here's the series synopsis:

When Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down.  But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism, and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.

The final season of JESSICA JONES hits Netflix on June 14.
