August 18th was the forty-sixth anniversary of the events of the 2003's THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE remake (and the events of the original TCM, but we're focusing on the remake right now.) She was eleven days late for the anniversary, but yesterday TCM '03 star Jessica Biel took to her Instagram account to make a CHAINSAW-themed "throwback Thursday" post. In this post, she shared a clip from the screen test she shot for the film during the audition process.
Biel included the caption:
Guess the movie. Hint: Starts with Texas, ends with me on the floor.
The screen test footage is something that has been available for a while, in fact I think it was included on the special edition DVD of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE '03 when it was first released back in the day (buy it HERE), but it's cool to see Biel reminiscing about her time working with Leatherface.
Her husband Justin Timberlake was obviously impressed by the clip. He commented on the post, saying, "God, I love you."
Directed by Marcus Nispel from a screenplay by Scott Kosar, the 2003 CHAINSAW has the following synopsis:
Prepare yourself for a level of fear like you've never experienced before…
A group of friends takes a detour while traveling through the back roads of Texas and encounter a chainsaw-wielding maniac. What happens next is beyond anyone's darkest imagination and will leave you speechless and horrified.
Biel was joined in the cast by Jonathan Tucker, Erica Leerhsen, Mike Vogel, Eric Balfour, R. Lee Ermey, David Dorfman, Terrence Evans, Marietta Marich, Heather Kafka, Kathy Lamkin, Lauren German, and Andrew Bryniarski.
