Last week, we learned that Brie Larson is going to be starring in writer/director Charlie Kaufman's psychological thriller I'M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS, which is based on a 2016 novel by author Iain Reid (you can pick up a copy of the novel HERE). Close on the heels of that announcement comes word that Jesse Plemons (pictured above in the Fargo series) is in talks to co-star in the film.
Plemons' character would be
Jake, a man going on a road trip to meet his parents on their secluded farm with his girlfriend (Larson), who is thinking of terminating their relationship. When Jake makes an unexpected detour leaving her stranded, a twisted mix of palpable tension, psychological frailty, and sheer terror ensues.
I'M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS is being produced by Kaufman, Anthony Bregman, and Stefanie Azpiazu, with Reid co-producing. The film is being made for the Netflix streaming service.
This could be the second genre project in a row for Plemons, as he just finished working on the Scott Cooper-directed, Guillermo del Toro-produced horror film ANTLERS at the end of November.
Kaufman is the only name I needed to hear to be sold on watching I'M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS, but this gets even more interesting with Larson and Plemons being added into the mix.
