Hike up your pants, slick back your hair, and prepare to get lost in the wonderful world of 1930's Hollywood, as envisioned by Woody Allen. CAFÉ SOCIETY stars Jesse Eisenberg as a young man who arrives in Hollywood hoping to work in the film industry but finds himself falling in love as he's swept up in the vibrant café society that defined the spirit of the age. An international trailer for CAFÉ SOCIETY has just been released, which gives us our first look at Woody Allen's latest.
“Life is a comedy written by a sadistic comedy writer.”
Although I wouldn't necessarily call myself a Woody Allen fan, I'm always impressed with how he manages to gather up an impressive troupe of actors for his annual films; that's right, Allen has released a film each and every year since 1982. CAFÉ SOCIETY stars Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Steve Carell, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Corey Stoll, and Ken Stott. The film has been selected to open the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival on May 11th, but for the rest of us, CAFÉ SOCIETY is set for a August 16, 2016 release.
