Jeremy Renner wants to “be exceptional” and “give back” amid recovery

It has been a little less than one year since Jeremy Renner suffered his potentially life-ending accident that found him being crushed by a snowplow on New Year’s Day. And while Renner was spared on that front, he still suffered 30 broken bones and had to undergo extensive surgeries and rehab. Now, Renner is revealing what has been the best therapy of all.

In a new Instagram post, Jeremy Renner wrote, “I have been exploring EVERY type of therapy since Jan 14th … everyday , countless hours of physical therapy, peptide injections, iv drips and pushes,  stem cell and exosomes, red light / IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunge, and the list goes on and on…. BUT…My greatest therapy has been my mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better…. Be exceptional… I feel it’s my duty to do so.  Not to squander my life being spared , but to give back to my family, friends, and all of you whom have empowered me to endure .  I thank you all.” He hashtagged it #loveandtitanium, a music project he worked on that takes listeners through his process. The title comes from two things that have helped immeasurably in Renner’s recovery.

Incredibly, despite such debilitating injuries, Jeremy Renner has kept busy and maintained a strong mindset, promoting projects he is involved with and the idea of cherishing life more than we probably do. And there has been plenty going on this year, chiefly season two of Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown and the premiere of Renneravations, in which its star/host helps refurbish vehicles to help communities. In 2021, Renner joined the Phase Four television expansion with Hawkeye, joining other Disney+ programs like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki.

Jeremy Renner’s recovery has certainly been inspirational and we here at JoBlo hope he continues to heal as best as he can and develop projects that make him and his collaborators happy. After all, as the actor has noted many times before, life can be precious.

What has been your favorite Jeremy Renner performance to date? What do you expect from him in the coming years?
