As details continue to emerge from this week’s incident of actor Jeremy Renner’s horrifying snow plow accident, fans and peers alike have been showing their support for the star as he recently took to Instagram to give his first personal update on his condition. Renner posted a picture of himself from his hospital bed after gaining consciousness from surgery and gave a short appreciative statement. The actor said that he was “too messed up to type. But I send love to you all” as he thanks everyone for their kind words.
According to Deadline, Renner received an outpouring of love from his Avengers teammates in response. Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, replied, “Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!” Captain America‘s Chris Evans responded, “Tough as nails. Love you buddy.” Chris Pratt of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies posted, “Continued prayers your way brutha.” His Avengers directors, Joe and Anthony Russo sent the message, “Sending all of our love, brother, and hopes for a speedy recovery.” Avengers co-star Cobie Smulders wrote, “Sending love your way…….” WandaVision actor, Paul Bettany, showed his support with the message, “Love you mate. Sending you love and healing.” Thor director Taika Waititi posted, “My brother I love you.” And his Hawkeye co-star, Hailee Steinfeld, posted, “Come on partner!!! Thank God you’re healing. We’re sending love and prayers for a speedy recovery.”
Non-Marvel Hollywood peers also wrote in support of Renner’s recovery after his health post. Actress Eiza González responded with, “Love you J thinking of you.” The Tonight Show host, Jimmy Fallon, replied, “Lotsa love out there for you bud.” Actress Vanessa Hudgens posts the message, “Sending so much love n healing!” Model Heidi Klum posted, “Speedy recovery.” DJ Steve Aoki said, “Brother u r a superhero to all of us. U will get through this with flying colors. Love and positive energy to u!” Actress Ashley Benson replied, “get well soon. Praying for you.” Actress Isla Fisher responded with, “Phew! I’m so happy you made this post. Sending you so much love and healing energy. We love you.” Pirates of the Carribean star, Orlando Bloom, replies, “Sending prayers brah.” Actress Juliette Lewis responded, “God speed!
