With SICARIO and HELL OR HIGH WATER, Taylor Sheridan had certainly proved that he knew his way around a script, the later even landed Sheridan a nomination for Best Original Screenplay at the 89th Academy Awards, but his latest effort will see the writer stepping into the director's chair as well. WIND RIVER, which will serve as Taylor Sheridan's directorial debut, stars Jeremy Renner as U.S. Fish and Wildlife agent Cory Lambert. When a body is discovered in the wilderness of the Wind River Indian Reservation, the FBI sends in Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen). The rookie agent then employs Lambert as a tracker and the two soon find themselves deep in a world ravaged by violence and the elements.
The Weinstein Company has released a brand-new trailer for WIND RIVER, which looks quite promising and very intense. Check it out!

The film made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, so make sure to check out a review of the film from our own Chris Bumbray.
