Jeremy Irons says Batman vs Superman script still not finished

Production is underway on BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, but according to Jeremy Irons, the script isn't done yet. The new Alfred Pennyworth revealed the news to Variety in a recent interview. Irons says he's read an earlier draft, however, “The script isn’t entirely finished."

It's not completely unheard of for a movie to start filming without a finished script, but some will see this as a huge red-flag, and more evidence that "DC doesn't have a clue what they're doing with BATMAN VS SUPERMAN." I'm sure there are a few things that still need to be tweaked, but I'm also positive the final script isn't going to be that different from the previous one, so it's not like Zack Snyder is just blindly filming the upcoming movie.

Jeremy Irons also went on to talk about how excited he is to work with Ben Affleck.

“I think (his casting) is a wonderful idea. He’s a lovely man and an interesting actor. I’m looking forward to getting to know him. I’ve only met him once.”

Of course Jeremy Irons wasn't going to say anything negative about Ben Affleck, however it's still good to hear he's pumped to be working with him. The relationship between Bruce and Alfred has always been one of my favorite things from the comics (and movies), and I'm confident both actors will do a fantastic job playing these characters.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN also stars Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg and Gal Gadot, and will be in theaters on May 6th, 2016.
