Jennifer Lopez is teaming up with the most profitable man in horror today, Jason Blum, to make the micro-budget thriller THE BOY NEXT DOOR, reports Variety. The film will be directed by Rob Cohen (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS) and distributed by Universal Pictures; this will be Blum’s second film with Universal after this summer’s very successful home invasion thriller, THE PURGE.

Blum’s company, Blumhouse Productions, has a handful of films currently in the works, including PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5, THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN and THE PURGE 2. Another stalker-thriller produced by the company, PLUSH, opens this Friday.
