Jennifer Lawrence may reteam with her Hunger Games director for Red Sparrow

Jennifer Lawrence and Francis Lawrence have worked together on three of the four films in THE HUNGER GAMES franchise and according to Deadline, that relationship could very well continue with RED SPARROW, an adaptation of the Jason Matthew novel of the same name. Jennifer Lawrence is said to be "orbiting" the film and in talks for the role of Dominika Egorova, a Russian intelligence officer ordered against her will to become a “Sparrow,” a trained seductress.

A synopsis of Jason Matthew's "Red Sparrow":

State intelligence officer Dominika Egorova struggles to survive in the cast-iron bureaucracy of post-Soviet intelligence. The spy genre is enjoying a bit of a resurgence with KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE and THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. having already opened this year and SPECTRE and BOURNE 5 on the way, so the time is ripe for a kick-ass Russian spy film starring Jennifer Lawrence. Justin Haythe will be rewriting a script by AMERICAN HUSTLE's Eric Warren. Marvel, you'd better get going on your Black Widow film before Fox shows you up.
