Jennifer Lawrence almost burns down her house in the first clip from American Hustle

Jennifer Lawrence is starting to piss me off. She is a incredibly talented actress, smoking hot, and seems to be a geek as well. Top all that off with the fact that she is already an Oscar winner at the age of 23 and she is way too awesome at such a young age. With X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST appearing to have a bigger role for Mystique and AMERICAN HUSTLE coming even sooner than that, there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of Jennifer Lawrence on the big screen.

David O. Russell‘s AMERICAN HUSTLE looks pretty damn great in the trailers we have seen with a nice amount of black comedy to boot. This new clip gives us an idea of just how funny the movie is going to be. This scene comes courtesy of MTV and has Lawrence and Christian Bale discussing the aftermath of their “science oven” catching on fire. The animosity between the two characters is palpable.

Bale and Lawrence both are completely transformed into their characters which we have come to expect from Bale. Lawrence looks to be doing a damn fine job here and I can only get more excited after seeing this clip. AMERICAN HUSTLE definitely has a Scorsese vibe to it which is great.

AMERICAN HUSTLE starring Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence opens December 18th.
