Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler to reunite for Netflix’s Murder Mystery

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As it's beginning to look increasingly likely that Adam Sandler will be spending the rest of his life making movies for Netflix, it's only inevitable that he'll begin roping in even more of his past co-stars to join him. With THE RIDICULOUS 6, THE DO-OVER, and SANDY WEXLER already under his belt, and THE WEEK OF on the way, Adam Sandler has set up his next Netflix movie, which will reunite him with Jennifer Aniston.

After starring together in 2011's JUST GO WITH IT, it's said that Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston had been looking for an opportunity to work together again, and that opportunity has arrived with MURDER MYSTERY, a comedy which will follow "a New York cop (Sandler) and his wife (Aniston), who become prime suspects in the murder of an elderly billionaire while vacationing in Europe." Lots of confused hijinks while Sandler and Aniston run from the law, while no doubt attempting to solve the murder themselves. There you go. Kyle Newacheck (Workaholics) will direct from a script by James Vanderbilt (WHITE HOUSE DOWN).

The official synopsis for THE WEEK OF:

The comedy tells the story of two fathers who are polar opposites (Adam Sandler and Chris Rock) and the dysfunctional hilarity that ensues when their families come together to celebrate the wedding of their children. They are forced to spend the longest week of their lives together and the big day could not come soon enough.

THE WEEK OF will premiere on Netflix on April 27, 2018.
