Jeff Bridges was a little underwhelmed after seeing R.I.P.D.

The film ended up bombing then was swept under the rug by THE CONJURING. Was it worth it? Sure the pay is nice but what made Bridges want to do a project like this? Speaking with GQ the actor said while it was a good time and something he thought was worth doing the final product was not a desirable one:

“I had such a great time working on that movie. I remember what we were doing. I thought: This could be fun to see. And when I saw it, I was a little underwhelmed. For my mind, the studio made some, uh, choices that I wouldn’t have made.”

The concept of two guys dying then becoming undead cops fighting other undead baddies who haven’t crossed over was a little over the actor’s head, “I remember when someone pitched me the project, I couldn’t quite grasp what they were talking about.”

At least he was somewhat optimistic, “It’s kind of fun when the movie’s coming out. It’s like having a horse in the race. And they’re lining up, and they’re off! And you’re rooting for your horse. And in this case, the jockey fell off the horse and you came in last.”

What was your opinion of R.I.P.D.? How could it have been done better?
