These days, with JUSTICE LEAGUE hype and speculation coming at us from all sides, it's easy to forget that Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy (THE HALLOW, THE NUN) are still keen on the idea of rebooting James O' Barr's THE CROW. As of the moment, Sony has the rights to the gothic comic book property, and today, Momoa has offered fans a tease of what he hopes is to come.

As far as we know, the project is still going by the title THE CROW REBORN, and is intended to be a more faithful adaptation of the graphic novel than Alex Proyas’ original feature-length film. Momoa would be the newest actor in a list of several who've been considered for the role since the notion to reboot the franchise came about over a decade ago. In the past, film creatives such as Stephen Norrington, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and Javier F. Gutierrez were attached to the project, with actors Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston, and Luke Evans each considered for the role of Eric Draven, the revenge-driven antihero.
It should be interesting to see what comes of this. After all, it's quite obvious that Momoa is still rather excited about the idea of stepping into Draven's boots, and avenging the love he lost on that fateful Halloween night. Perhaps we can expect to hear more news about this sooner rather than later, what with both JUSTICE LEAGUE set to invade theaters on November 17th and AQUAMAN having wrapped production this past October.
What do you all think about this? Are you excited by the prospect of seeing Jason Momoa become The Crow, or should the franchise be left to haunt department store bargain bins until the end of time? Sound off in the comments section below.
