Jason Momoa teases “great news” from DC, Warner Bros.

Jason Momoa has confirmed that he will continue working with DC and Warner Bros., although the exact projects remain unknown,

While the various shakeups at DC ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over have put numerous projects back on the shelf and an untold amount of people out of work, one man is happy to be continuing his gig at DC and Warner Bros. is Jason Momoa.

In an Instagram story, Jason Momoa said he would continue working with DC and Warner Bros. “Four years ago, I had the jeep out front… Y’all remember four years ago? I was screaming, wasn’t I?…Screaming when I left Warner Bros. Everybody ready?…YAHOO!…Four years again. It’s a mystery, baby…I’ve got some really good news. Great news with Warner Bros. Amazing. Wish I could tell you, but here it is. Peter [Safran], I love you. James [Gunn], I love you. David [Zaslav]. Okay. To the future, to the future.”

Jason Momoa, of course, played Aquaman in the 2018 DC movie of the same name, which may not have received the best reviews, but it taking in $1.15 million worldwide was enough to greenlight a sequel. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on December 25th, making it the fourth and final movie in the DC Extended Universe this year after March’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods, June’s The Flash, and August’s Blue Beetle. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom may be the best choice of the lot to wrap up the year, as Momoa has teased plenty of Bat-shaped surprises for fans.

What exactly Jason Momoa will future be involved in at DC wasn’t disclosed, but it may not just be Aquaman 3. Momoa has been rumored to be circling Lobo, although he may have to fend off Dave Bautista, who has also expressed interest in the project.

Jason Momoa is currently on HBO’s docuseries The Climb, described as “a visually-arresting and life-changing adventure that represents the foundations of rock climbing and exploration of the human spirit.” On his Instagram, Momoa wrote, “This was a massive undertaking on so many levels and I’m so grateful to everyone who was involved and made it possible. It was a true honor to work alongside so many talented people. It was a labor of love bringing this to life and share the incredible world of climbing!”
