Jason Momoa is pumped for Justice League, talks Batman v Superman backlash

While Warner Bros. was probably hoping that the reception towards BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE could have been a little more universally positive, there's still plenty more to come in their DC Universe for us to look forward to. One such film, and most likely the biggest, is the first installment of JUSTICE LEAGUE which will bring together all of the heroes teased in BATMAN V SUPERMAN, including Jason Momoa's Aquaman. The actor recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight and said that while he's aware of the backlash BATMAN V SUPERMAN has received, he's still very excited to begin working on JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Some people liked it, some people didn't, it is what it is. I don't get it, but I don't really listen to what anyone says…You can't win 'em all. And I had a ball. I loved it. There's a lot of support from fans. There's a big beautiful world. There's a lot — a lot — of stuff. I feel really privileged to know that there's a lot of big, beautiful stuff that's going to happen. I'm excited too, for people to see the final product. And now it's our turn — it's Justice League time! I've been waiting for four years that I've known about it that I've had to keep my mouth shut. I'm super pumped to shoot it!

Obviously Jason Momoa couldn't say much about the film, but he did say that he was looking forward to the super-heroic fisticuffs as "I like fighting. So, I'm looking forward to being a superhero and just fighting, there's some good battles." Once Jason Momoa completes work on JUSTICE LEAGUE – PART ONE, he'll soon be returning to the DC Universe with the AQUAMAN solo-film to be directed by James Wan (FURIOUS 7). "It's just something that hasn't been explored before," said Momoa of the AQUAMAN film. "For me, it's like Iron Man. When Iron Man came out, it was like, 'Wow!' We haven't explored that character before and Robert Downey took it to a whole nother level. He's genius and it was amazing. I loved it." It was confirmed not that long ago that Amber Heard would be playing Mera in the film and Jason Momoa said that he's "super stoked" to work with her. Shocker.

JUSTICE LEAGUE – PART ONE will be released on November 17, 2017 and AQUAMAN will hit theaters on July 27, 2018.
