One thing the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise has delivered consistently over the years is crowd-pleasing kills, and it looks like this fall's Friday the 13th: The Game is quite capable of carrying that torch. A new promo video has been released online that shows the game's version of iconic slasher Jason Voorhees – which FRIDAY THE 13TH 7, 8, 9, and X star Kane Hodder did the motion capture performance for – executing a series of kills, wiping out at new batch of camp counselors. Some of these kills are absolutely awesome, and it makes sense that they're so cool when you take into account that they were designed by FRIDAY THE 13TH / FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER special effects wizard Tom Savini.
Accompanying the visuals of this mayhem is a retro-'80s style song called "XIII", by the band Crazy Lixx.
Friday the 13th: The Game is an online, asymmetric multiplayer experience where one player will assume the role of Jason Voorhees against seven other players assuming the roles of camp counselors trying to survive the night.
Friday the 13th: The Game is expected to be released this October, and if these kills look like something you'd like to make Jason do to your opponents, or if you don't mind the idea of having the Jason player do these things to your camp counselor character, you can pre-order a copy at F13Game.com.
