Blumhouse and David Gordon Green's (PINEAPPLE EXPRESS) sequel to John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN was a major force at the box-office last year and since then rumors and whatnot surrounding a possible sequel have been flying. And today is no different. Today, Blumhouse head honcho Jason Blum posted a pic of himself with Curtis with the caption:
We’re discussing stuff.
Cooler still is the fact that in the full photo (which you can check out below) Jamie Lee is holding her HALLOWEEN (2018) action figure making it pretty obvious that the two are discussing something new in the world of HALLOWEEN. Is it HALLOWEEN 2? I think that's a safe bet, but we'll see (hopefully) soon! How excited would YOU be for another Blumhouse HALLOWEEN movie? Let us know below!
Personally, I think this last HALLOWEEN movie kind of wrapped up the Michael Myers tale aptly. To go back to Michael Myers and especially Laurie Strode would only lessen the impact of this most recent film's ending. At least I think so. But then again, maybe the powers that be behind the scenes can make it work. I guess we'll see one of these days. After all, the most recent movie made a killing at the box-office and we all know money talks.
Anyhow, here's the synopsis for the recent flick
It's been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she's ready for him.
HALLOWEEN (2018) was directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Malek Akkad, Bill Block, and Jason Blum produced the film which stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner. John Carpenter also provided this new movie's score with the help of his son Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.
