Not sure how funny ROCK OF AGES will be, but it looks like Adam Shankman will be moving on to another film with an all-star cast.
Jason Bateman, Zac Efron, Leslie Mann and Goldie Hawn are all eyeing roles in the adaptation of Jonathan Tropper’s novel, THIS IS WHERE I LEAVE YOU. The buzz is that the script is attracting a ton of great talent.
The film will focus on, “four siblings who come home to sit ‘shiva’ for their deceased father. They are trapped in the house for seven days, and all the skeletons are bared.” Kind of reminds me of 2004’s EULOGY. I stress kind of. I also think that movie is unappreciated so if I can get you to watch it, I’ll throw it out there.
If they decided to join, there will be two reunions: one with Bateman and Mann who were in THE CHANGE-UP and the other with Mann and Efron who were in 17 AGAIN. The three will all play siblings in Shankman’s comedy.
Production on THIS IS WHERE I LEAVE YOU will begin in September.
