With all the reboots, sequels and spinoffs rushing at us like a zombie horde, getting the news in February at a new HALLOWEEN movie was on the docket was not all that shocking. However, what makes it special is that series star and original scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis is returning for another stabathon and that the story will pick up after the events of the first film. We still have a year left before the movie, but Curtis is already getting re-acquainted with Michael Myers in a new photo.
Curtis took to Twitter yesterday – on Halloween – to post a new photo of her and Myers having a merry ol’ time in the leaves, her arm gashed open as a result of an apparent disagreement between the duo. Glad to see they’ve patch things up, though.

New broke a few months ago that SUPERBAD director David Gordon Green and actor Danny McBride would be working on a new entry in the famed slasher series, one that doesn’t pay mind to the sequels and is its own, unique beast. Acting as a sequel to the first film, Curtis announced she would return as Laurie Strode last month, and Judy Greer has signed on to play her daughter, Karen.
Seeing Curtis and the masked killer together again is probably a huge nostalgia trip for fans of the series, and is right now a pretty genius marketing strategy. Curtis returning to the fold will be the biggest selling point, so throwing out images is the best way to get people in the mood for some old-fashioned knife action.
The new HALLOWEEN arrives October 19, 2018.
