Rian Johnson's contribution to the STAR WARS saga with his film THE LAST JEDI has made him something of a controversial figure these days, but regardless of how that film turned out I liked his feature debut BRICK so much that I'll always be interested in seeing anything he makes. Especially when he's putting together a project as intriguing as his next film, KNIVES OUT.

Drawing inspiration from the work of Agatha Christie, KNIVES OUT is described as

a contemporary version of the locked door mansion murder mystery, in the classic whodunit style.

I'm hoping this means it will be along the lines of Christie's novel And Then There Were None, in which ten people gather together on an island and get picked off one by one.

Whether or not that's the case, Johnson is putting together an incredible cast for the film, beginning with Daniel Craig as the detective investigating the murder(s). Over the last couple months, Craig has been joined in the cast by Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, and Ana de Armas.

The latest casting announcement has revealed that Jamie Lee Curtis has also signed on to be in the film. Fresh off of crossing paths with slasher Michael Myers once again in the latest HALLOWEEN sequel, Curtis will now have to deal with whoever is killing people in KNIVES OUT.

Produced by Johnson and Ram Bergman, KNIVES OUT begins filming next month.
