Hot on the heels of the trailer for Jamie Dornan's FIFTY SHADES DARKER somehow breaking the record for the most watched trailer in a 24-hour period, is the news that Dornan has attached himself to another potential franchise. ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS, one of the several Robin Hood projects floating around out there, is due to kick off production in January and it looks as though they've found their Will Scarlett.
Jamie Dornan is currently in final negotiations to play the part of Will Scarlett in the Lionsgate flick alongside the previously cast Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx and Eve Hewson. A part of Robin Hood's band of Merry Men, Scarlett is the "hot-headed wearer of fine clothes and the best swordsman of the bunch." ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS will put another spin on Will Scarlett as he will actually be Maid Marian's husband, who will "be none too happy when he learns that she loves the outlaw." Described as a "gritty, revisionist take on the legend," ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS stars Taron Egerton as Robin Hood, Jamie Foxx as Little John and Eve Hewson as Maid Marian.
FIFTY SHADES DARKER will slip into theaters on February 14, 2017.
