Right now James Wan is on set filming FAST AND FURIOUS 7, and while he may be taking a break from directing horror films that doesn't mean we won't be seeing his name attached to the upcoming Will Canon-helmed thriller DEMONIC. The film was previously known as the "Untitled James Wan Thriller" and it is based on a story that Wan wrote. According to Desde Hollywood, the Wan produced film will follow the trend set by INSIDIOUS and SINISTER.
Here's how it breaks down:
DEMONIC takes place after the massacre of five college students in an abandoned house. As investigators begin to unravel the murders, they uncover clues to what began as an innocent ghost-hunting excursion but eventually turned into a terrifying escapade involving the house itself.
Directed by Will Canon, DEMONIC stars Maria Bello, Frank Grillo, Cody Horn, Scott Mechlowicz, Aaron Yoo, Megan Park and Dustin Milligan. Right now there's still no release date but at least we've got an official title, so that's a start.
