With the films of Marvel Cinematic Universe continuing to perform very strongly across the globe, there's no reason why we won't be seeing an entirely new crop of Marvel heroes making their live-action debuts in the years to come. One Marvel hero who GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 director James Gunn hopes will be included in that future is Marc Spector a.k.a. Moon Knight, the skilled fighter and detective whose strength, endurance and reflexes are enhanced depending upon the phases of the moon.
James Gunn was asked on Twitter whether he would be including Moon Knight in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and although the director said that the character wouldn't belong in GUARDIANS, he did reveal that he has a great idea for a Moon Knight movie.
Oh my God I love Moon Knight & I have a great idea for a movie, I just wish I had the time (but, no, he doesn't belong in Guardians). https://t.co/ARJCPh62gt

Gunn obviously wouldn't reveal what that "great idea" was, but he did say that he had told Marvel all about it. Unfortunately, as the man said, he just doesn't have the time to pursue it at the moment. Even so, it's nice to know that a Moon Knight movie is on Marvel's radar. If a big-screen Moon Knight project doesn't become a reality, it's also possible that the character could get his own Marvel/Netflix show as rumours of such a series seem to pop up every so often. James Gunn's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
What do you folks think? Would Moon Knight work better as a Netflix series or as a feature-film?
