Jake Johnson and Omar Sy return for Jurassic World 3

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Daniella Pineda, and Justice Smith aren't the only actors from previous JURASSIC movies returning for JURASSIC WORLD 3 (or whatever it ends up being called). It has now been announced that JURASSIC WORLD cast members Jake Johnson and Omar Sy will both be coming back for the new sequel.

Johnson's character is Lowery Cruthers, a dinosaur fan we previously saw delivering comic relief while working as a control room operator at Jurassic World. Sy plays Barry Sembène, who was a velociraptor trainer alongside Pratt's character.

I remember Lowery, he was amusing, but even though I've seen JURASSIC WORLD a couple times I honestly have no recollection of Barry. Sy must not have had much to do. Maybe the new film will make up for that.

Franchise newcomers in JURASSIC WORLD 3 will include Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise.

JURASSIC WORLD director Colin Trevorrow will be directing the sequel, working from a screenplay he wrote with Emily Carmichael, based on an idea he crafted with his JURASSIC WORLD and JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM co-writer Derek Connolly.

A collaboration between Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, JURASSIC WORLD 3 is being executive produced by Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg, with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley producing. Sara Scott, senior vice president of production at Universal, is overseeing the project for the studio.

The film is set to reach theatres on June 11, 2021.
