Bram Coppens makes his directorial debut with the psychological thriller BROKEN VOWS which will star Wes Bentley and Jaimie Alexander, reports THR. This is going to be a really cool role for Bentley as he takes on the character of Patrick Flynn, who's life goes spriling down into a dark hole of madness when a girl (Alexander) rejects him. To be fair, a gorgeous woman like Jaimie Alexander probably drives a lot of guys crazy.
"Agnew and Keller did an amazing job creating a new, thrilling spin to the psychological stalker film," said producer Wendy Benge. "I love the way they can take a common, traditional genre and turn it into something completely unique. Coppens take on this film will add a dark European sensibility. Alexander's strong personality and Bentley's intensity will make for a dynamic suspenseful thriller."
Written by James Agnew and Sean Keller, the film tells…
…the story of Patrick Flynn (Bentley), whose charm and charisma masks a profound psychosis. Patrick seduces Tara Bloom (Alexander), instantly becoming infatuated with the beauty. But when Tara rejects Patrick, he is sent spiraling into madness and delusion, erupting into psychotic rage. Tara is forced to find the strength to stop Patrick from destroying her love, her family, and her life.
Larry Ladove (The Butler, Life of Crime) also produces and will serve as executive producer. The project, which is financed by Stonecreek Films, is slated to go into production in late June.
