Hollywood Reporter spills it today that Joshua Jackson is set to join Rachael Taylor in Regency Enterprises’ psychological thriller/remake of SHUTTER, which starts shooting in Tokyo on the 12th of March. Jackson will be joined by David Denman, James Kyson Lee, and John Henley in the remake of the 2004 flick from directors Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom.
The remake, directed by Masayuki Ochiai (who also directed KANSEN (aka INFECTION) and the videogame-to-flick anime PARASITE EVE), is based on the screenplay by Luke Dawson, and tells the tale of a young American couple (Jackson and Taylor) on their honeymoon in Tokyo, who begin seeing ghostly images in their photos as well as around them after a hit and run with a female pedestrian.
