This past weekend Netflix and Paramount pulled a fast one on the nation, and possibly the world entire, as they released THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX out of the blue onto the streaming site after the game.
While the actual movie might not have been anything to write home about (read our review HERE) that's not stopping the CLOVERFIELD train from rocking a rolling down the tracks.
Case in point, we have "WWII Zombie" flick OVERLORD aka CLOVERFIELD 4 coming our way soon, and now producer J.J. Abrams is talking the future of the franchise, including possible crossovers.
J.J. Abrams on Facebook Live:
We’ve talked about versions of things, like when we did 10 Cloverfield Lane, we were thinking Michelle – the character Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays – it’s such a sort of weird origin story of this kind of incredibly, I think, awesome heroine, that idea of following her story is really cool. And then at one point, we were like, ‘You know what would be really cool? What if they crossed paths with Gugu [Mbatha-Raw]’s character Ava?’ You start to think of ‘what ifs.’ And I think the bigger ideas that we’ve had about where this thing goes haven’t necessarily been those ideas, but they’ve kind of been fun theoretical offshoots.
Would you like to see a CLOVERFIELD CROSSOVER film? Don't you think they crossover enough as it is? Either way make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on social media.
