And today we have confirmation via Deadline that the movie will be shooting in July… with… wait for it… John Krasinski officially returning to direct! Krasinski broke the news over on Instagram and you can check out his post below. But that's not all, folks. Krasinski also let the world know that A QUIET PLACE PART II will be released on May 15th, 2020.

Emily Blunt is also said to be closing a deal soon. The original film was based on a screenplay written by Krasinski along with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck and is:
A taut and original thriller that follows a family who must navigate their lives in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and Lee (John Krasinski) are determined to find a way to protect their children at all costs while they desperately search for a way to fight back. The film earned a 95% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes and generated an extraordinary $175M+ at the domestic box office.
Brad Fuller and Andrew Form will return to produce this new film under their new production label at Paramount, Fully Formed, Entertainment. Guess that means Platinum Dunes is dead? Shrugs.
