It’s all doom and gloom in new The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 clips

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Granted, a film franchise which deals with young people being forced to murder each other by a totalitarian government was never going to be smiles and unicorn farts, but the final installment of THE HUNGER GAMES franchise looks like it will be the most dour chapter yet. Lionsgate has released a pair of new clips for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2, and you can check them out below!

"Nothing good is safe while he's alive."

I never got around to reading the books on which these films are based, so I'm a little clueless as to how the whole thing will end, but it certainly looks like things won't end well for President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and the people of the capital. THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2 looks as though it could actually bring this franchise to a fitting conclusion.

The official synopsis for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2:

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her.  The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2 opens in theaters on November 20, 2015.
